Rise of the Machines

Harry Bardic 9 October 2006 12:39:11
A few days ago one Russian chap I work with told me a story about his colleagues who had decided to test an anti-fire pump in a hangar.

Well, they shut the doors and started fixing the pump.

Of course, they changed anfreeze, oiled the gears, replugged, etc. And finally, of course, they decided to make a test. Ok, guys, we'll turn her on for a minute, and then everything will be clear. And rolled the plane outta hangar.

They began to pull the starter. Pulled once, and twice, thrice... ... ... ... and she started.

OK, chaps, she works allright! let's turn her off! But turn off she wouldn't.

Everybody started running and shouting: "That's bloody shampoo is getting into my eyes! Head&Shoulders, dammit. What a funny surprise!" They tried to get out - but the door was locked. So they climbed up the ladder. And the ladder was pretty tall for to have a better look on the plane.

But the shampoo deluge was making it lower and lower

and soon it totally disappeared

What should they do? Surely they called for help over the walkie-talkie, as it is streaming with shampoo, and no end is foreseen, until there is some water on planet Earth

Shorthly afterwards the help arrived. The hangar's doors were torn apart, and the foam started to settle down

But the summer breeze started to spread the fume all over the base, thus giving the story a new turn

Chief Mechanic, who had parked his car with windows open, was the luckiest one...

but it's here, where another story begins ...
